Former Pakistan greats Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar ridiculed Virat Kohli’s India for their embarrassing show in the first Test against Australia in Adelaide.

Virat Kohli’s ‘New India’s’ famed batting line up gave the most shocking display ever in Indian Test history.

The visitors eventually succumbed to Aussies as the hosts, who were chasing more 90-run target, cruised to an emphatic eight-wicket victory inside two and half days in the opening Day/Night Test in Adelaide on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Akram took to Twitter to praise Australian pacers for destroying Indian batting.
“Wait what happened? I just went to play 9 holes came back game over. What a spell by The Australians. Pace matters. #INDvsAUSTest,” Akram tweeted.

“I woke up & saw the score 369. I couldn’t believe it. Then I washed my eyes and saw the score 36/9. I couldn’t believe it either & went back to sleep,” Akhtar tweeted.

ndia’s earlier lowest score was 42 at the Lord’s in 1974 against England, known in Indian cricket parlance as the “Summer of 42”. Saturday’s total was also the lowest score in the brief history of D/N Tests and the joint fifth lowest overall.

There were no demons in the pitch but Josh Hazlewood (5-3-8-5) and Patrick Cummins (10.2-4-21-4) displayed fast bowling of highest quality, the impact of which will be far-reaching with three more Tests to go.

The easy target of 90 runs was achieved by the home side in only 21 overs without much fuss.
