Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announces a 28-player contract list

Indian captain Virat Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma, and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah remain in the top category of the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) central contracts, which fetches Rs 7 crore

While some fast emerging youngsters Were also rewarded by the board on Thursday. A total of 28 cricketers have been awarded central contracts in 4 categories.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been promoted to Grade A, earning Rs 5 crore, while Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj got their first central contract which is Grade C, and amounted to Rs 1 crore.

But the status of some players has been reduced, in which fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been reduced to Grade B with Rs 3 crore while Kedar Jadhav has also been brought down.

BCCI announces a 28-player contract list is as follows:

Grade A+ (7 crore): Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jaspreet Bumrah.

Grade A (5 crores): R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya.

Grade B (3 crores): Wriddhiman Saha, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur, Mayank Agarwal.

Grade C (1 crore): Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Deepak Chahar, Shubman Gill, Hanuma Vihari, Axar Patel, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammad Siraj.
