Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood reached the second spot in the latest ICC rankings of T20 International bowlers released on Wednesday. Last week, Sri Lanka’s top-order all-rounder spin-bowler Wanindu Hasaranga slipped to the third spot. 1 position in Tabrez Shamshi.

Shamsi topped the T20I bowling rankings while Hasaranga slipped to the third spot.

Hazlewood recorded his best figures in T20Is :-

Hazlewood recorded his best figures in T20Is when he took four wickets for just 12 runs in the first match against Sri Lanka, which Australia won by 20 runs via the DLS method. In the next match, he picked up three more to seal another win before giving up just five in the Super Over. Hazlewood’s eight-wicket haul helped Australia win the 5-match T20I series.

Hasranga out of tour due to Covid-19, positive test :-

Hasranga picked up five wickets in the first two matches, but was then ruled out of the tour possibly due to testing positive for Covid-19.

Meanwhile, a performance in the quadrennial T20I series in Oman saw UAE’s Rohan Mustafa break into the top ten of the men’s all-rounders’ rankings. He is at number seven for UAE after taking 122 runs and three wickets in three matches. Nepal’s Deepender Singh Airi, the leading run-scorer in the competition with 142. Ranked 53rd in the rankings for batsmen, up 63 places.
