Australia’s opener David Warner batted brilliantly in the third T20I match against West Indies on Tuesday, 13 February. He played an inning of 81 runs in 49 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes.

David Warner will retire from international cricket after T20 World Cup 2024 :-

However, Australia had to face defeat by 37 runs at Perth ground. This was Warner’s last international match on Australian soil, which was very memorable for him. He has taken retirement from Test and ODI. Similarly, Warner had recently said that he will retire from international cricket after the T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in West Indies and America in June.

David Warner broke Virat Kohli’s big record :-

Warner made many records in the last international match at home. He has completed 12000 runs in T20I cricket. He is the first Australian cricketer to touch this figure. Warner has become the second fastest player to score 12000 T20I runs. He did this in 369 matches.

Ahead of him is West Indies’ legendary cricketer Chris Gayle, who scored 12 centuries in 353 matches. Warner has reached fifth place in the list of players scoring most runs in T20 format. He has shifted Virat Kohli to sixth position. Kohli has 11994 runs in his account in 367 matches.

Warner completed 3000 runs in T20I :-

Apart from this, Warner has also completed three thousand runs in T20I. He has scored 3067 runs in 102 T20I matches so far. He is only the second player to score three thousand runs for Australia in the shortest format. Before him, this feat was done by former captain Aaron Finch (3120).

Let us tell you that Australia won the three-match T20 series against West Indies by 2-1. Warner was selected Player of the Series. He scored 173 runs in three matches. Warner gifted his Player of the Series award to a small fan, due to which his happiness knew no bounds.
