Hardik Pandya, India’s all-rounder, took to Twitter on Thursday to share a few pictures from Team India’s training session in Chennai ahead of the Test series opener against England. India are set to host England for a four-match Test series.
Hardik Pandya was included in the 18-man Test squad for the first two Tests against England after he missed out on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia.
The flamboyant all-rounder last played in a Test match all the way back in September 2018 – a match India lost by 60 runs in Southampton.
Since then, he has undergone back surgery which has restricted his ability to bowl. That led him to be out of the Test series in Australia. but this time Hardik Pandya Back In Red Ball Cricket.
England are the side that last won a Test series in India. They did lose a five-match series 4-0 in 2016, but the scoreline doesn’t tell the full story. England competed hard and gave India a decent run for their money, but Virat Kohli’s men were just too good.
