Test Championship started in 2019

ICC World Test Championship was started in August 2019. But most of the championship matches were not played due to coronavirus. Not only this, the ICC changed the rules of the Test Championship last year.

Team India however managed to perform brilliantly during the entire tournament. India secured first place in the WTC points table of the championship with 520 points and confirmed their place in the finals. New Zealand finished second with 420 points and also found a place in the final.

The New Zealand cricket team has already reached England to play the final match. But the Indian cricket team will leave for England on 2nd June. India’s cricketers will have to remain quarantined in England for 10 days due to Coronavirus. However, the players have been allowed to practice during the quarantine.
