The team is set to don a new retro jersey when they lock horns against Australia in the upcoming ODI and the T20I series.

Virat Kohli & Co. are touring Australia for three ODIs, three T20Is, and four Tests.

The much-anticipated series between the cricket giants will kickstart with the ODI series on November 27 in Sydney.

Team India will be seen in a new attire when they take the field against Australia in the limited-overs series.

According to a report in Outlook, the Indian players will wear a ‘retro’ theme shirt, inspired by the Seventies. Unlike the conventional sky blue colour that Team India has been wearing for years, the new jersey will have a Navy Blue shade.

The Navy Blue shirts will also sport the name of the BCCI’s new kit sponsors – MPL Sports. Last month, the BCCI had signed a three-year deal worth Rs 120 crores plus revenue share with MPL Sports. MPL has replaced Nike as Team India’s new kit sponsors.

It will be followed by the T20I series which is scheduled to take place between December 4 to 8. The four-match Test series, on the other hand, starts on December 17 with the day-night Test in Adelaide.

It will be the first-day night Test match between the two nations. Team India departed for Australia from Dubai on Wednesday, the BCCI confirmed.

Australia will also wear a new jersey for the T20 series, Cricket Australia confirmed on Wednesday. Aaron Finch & Co. will wear specially-designed Indigenous shirts in the upcoming T20I series, a move aimed at recognizing and encouraging the Indigenous Australians’ role in the sport.
