BCCI may change its views in the case of Shreyas Iyer, big update on his fitness

A big news is coming after Shreyas Iyer played the last two matches of Ranji Trophy 2024.

Actually it is being said that BCCI can reconsider the case of Shreyas Iyer, which means that this player can return to BCCI’s central contract.

BCCI has understood that Iyer was not making any excuses :-

In fact, recently due to not paying attention to domestic cricket, BCCI had shown the way out to players like Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer from the central contract.

There was news that Shreyas Iyer was not participating in the Ranji Trophy on the pretext of back pain, even though NCA had declared him fit. But Shreyas Iyer’s back problem has come to light again during the Ranji Trophy final. In such a situation, perhaps BCCI has understood that he was not making any excuse.

Mumbai team manager Bhushan Patil told Cricbuzz :-

“There is nothing to worry about, he is fine and will go to Kolkata for the pre-IPL camp in two days,” Mumbai team manager Bhushan Patil told Cricbuzz.

Kolkata Knight Riders officials have also reiterated the same and said that they have not received any information contrary to Patil’s claim. However, neither Iyer nor his team has made any official statement regarding his fitness status.

A source told RevSportz that Shreyas Iyer is going to join the KKR camp on Friday, March 15. There is no possibility of him missing the initial matches of IPL. Iyer has now played consecutive Ranji matches and sources said there was a feeling within the BCCI that his central contract should be reinstated.

Let us tell you, Mumbai has won the Ranji Trophy title for the 42nd time on Thursday, March 14. Vidarbha was defeated by Mumbai by 169 runs in the final. Shreyas Iyer played a brilliant inning of 95 runs in the title match.
