WTC Final 2023: Indian captain Rohit Sharma injured during throwdown practice before WTC final. After emerging from practice, apprehensions about Rohit Sharma’s fitness increased.

Sharma Got Injured During The Practice Session:-

Indian captain Rohit Sharma was injured during the practice session of the Indian team on Tuesday before the World Test Championship Final (WTC Final 2023).

Rohit Sharma got injured during throwdown practice. He had to withdraw from practice after injuring his left hand during a throwdown during a net session at the Oval.

Kamlesh treated him and taped the injury:-

Rohit Sharma injured his left thumb during practice. He came out of the nets immediately. Indian team physio Kamlesh treated him and applied tape on the injury.

After a while he put on his gloves to go back to the nets but later decided not to do so as a precaution.

The injury is not serious. But there is no official update yet regarding this injury. Today was the optional practice session of the Indian team.

Rohit Sharma also took stock of the Pitch:-

Rohit Sharma has also reviewed the pitch. Today only Rohit, Ashwin, Bharat, Umesh, and Yashashvi Jaiswal came to the field during the practice session.

This is the second edition of WTC, in which India and Australia will be face-to-face in the final match.

In the first edition, the final match was played between India and New Zealand, in which the Kiwi team won the first title by defeating India.
