Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Aamir says that he does not want to disclose under what circumstances he retired from international cricket because the story behind it is frightening. Aamir had faced a five-year ban for spot-fixing allegations early in his career.
Aamir retired from Test cricket in 2019, while in August last year, he retired from all forms of cricket.
Aamir said, “It is not easy to retire from the game that I play for my country. I thought a lot before taking this decision. I discussed it with my close ones and then came to the decision.”
He said, “If I go into the details and reopen those chapters, it is quite frightening. I hope that our players, especially the youth, will not face these things in the future which I had to do. I do not want our Let the young players sacrifice their careers as I did. “
