The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the entire squad that will head to Australia later this year for a tour that will consist of three ODIs, three T20Is, and four Tests.

The team that has been listed by the BCCI, misses out on a brand name and that is none other than Rohit Sharma, India’s limited-overs vice-captain.

The BCCI has informed that their medical team will keep an eye on Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma as they are not completely fit at the moment.

Rohit first sustained an injury on India‘s tour of New Zealand where he injured his calf muscles. However, he recovered in time to play in the IPL this year and has missed out on only a couple of games.

This has left the fans thinking as to why Rohit is being sidelined for the Australian tour. Also, if Rohit Sharma is unavailable to play a tour in November, how can he continue his run in the ongoing tournament. Fans have expressed their discontentment on Twitter.

After all the deliberations on Rohit Sharma’s future with Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians’ recent Instagram post has also left the fans thinking as they posted pictures of Rohit training intensely in the nets.
