Pakistani wicket-keeper batsman Umar Akmal gave 45 lakh rupees as a penalty to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)

Umar Akmal has been in the discussion since February last year due to a case of corruption. Umar Akmal, however, has completed the Punishment given by the PCB in the corruption case.

The PCB had imposed a one and half year ban and fine of Rs 45 lakh on Umar Akmal for playing cricket. Umar Akmal can now continue playing cricket again.

Umar Akmal has become entitled to participate in the rehabilitation program of the anti-corruption unit of the board after paying a fine of Rs 45 lakh. Sources in the PCB confirmed that the penalty awarded by the Sports Tribunal to Akmal has been deposited in the PCB. The sports tribunal imposed this penalty on the batsman in February in the cases filed by the PCB and Akmal.

PCB gave him strict punishment

Earlier, Umar Akmal had told the board that he did not have 45 lakh rupees to pay the fine. Akmal had requested the board to fill this amount in installments. But the Pakistan Cricket Board turned down Umar Akmal’s request.

Umar Akmal was found guilty of a corruption case in the Pakistan Super League last year. The PCB had earlier banned Omar Akmal for three years. But while hearing Umar Akmal’s appeal, the PCB had reduced the ban to one and half years.

What was the matter?

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had imposed a three-year ban for not giving information about contact by bookies. Akmal was alleged to have been approached for spot-fixing during the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Whose information he did not give to the board.

Although the possibility of his return to the Pakistan cricket team is negligible, maybe he can play in the Pakistan Super League.
