Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski was named The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2020 on Thursday. He is beating off competition from last year’s winner Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lewandowski, who won the German league and cup double as well as the Champions League with Bayern. He finished as top scorer in all three competitions and won the award for the first time.
The 32-year-old also led Poland to Euro 2020 qualification and was named the 2019-20 UEFA Men’s Player of the Year in October.
Poland and Bayern Münich striker Lewandowski was named The Best FIFA Men’s Player for the first time in his career.

Meanwhile, Jürgen Klopp claimed The Best FIFA Men’s Coach award for the second year in a row, having steered Liverpool to the English Premier League title for the first time in 30 years.
Germany and Bayern Münich’s Manuel Neuer was chosen as The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper.
The FIFA FIFPRO Men’s and Women’s World XIs were also announced. The men’s team is dominated by players from Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
