IPL 2021- 292 players set for the final auction

The IPL 2021 auction is set to take place in Chennai on February 18 and before that, all the eight franchises were given a deadline till January 20 to finalize the list of the players they wanted to retain and release in the auction.

On February 11, the IPL Governing Council Council has released the list of all the players in the auction.

A total of 1114 cricketers had initially registered for the IPL 2021 auction and after all the eight franchises had submitted their lists of shortlisted players, a total of 292 players will be seen going under the hammer in the auction in Chennai on February 18th, 2021.

1097 players registered in the earlier BCCI media release. 17 new players were added on request from the franchises

A total of 164 Indian players, 125 overseas players, and 3 players from Associate nations will be up for grabs.

Ali Khan (USA), Sandeep Lamichhane (Nepal), and Karthik Meiyappan (UAE) are the three players from the Associate nations

Harbhajan Singh and Kedar Jadhav, that have listed the maximum base price of INR 2 crore. The other eight players, who have listed the maximum base price are Glenn MaxwellSteven SmithMoeen AliSam BillingsLiam PlunkettJason RoyMark Wood, and Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan.

12 players are in the auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crore- The names include Alex Hales, Alex Carey, Dawid Malan, Morne Morkel, Gregory Lewis, David Willey, Tom Curran, Shaun Marsh, Adil Rashid, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Jhye Richardson and Nathan Coulter-Nile

Hanuma Vihari and Umesh Yadav are the two Indian players in the list of 11 cricketers with a base price of INR 1 crore.

The IPL 2021 auction will begin at 3 pm on February 18.
