England pacer Tymal Mills said that while he is not a fan of Test cricket. He definitely watches the five-day format when Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant comes to the bat.
“I only play white-ball cricket, I don’t play four-day cricket due to injuries. In general, I don’t like watching traditional Test cricket,” Mills said.
The cricket calendar for the next few months is an exciting one for cricket fans. Especially for the purists who love Test cricket. Virat Kohli & Co. will soon leave for UK where India will play the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand followed by a much-awaited five-match Test series against Joe Root’s men. Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has been on a roll in red-ball cricket and something similar is expected from the explosive left-hander in the next few months.
Rishabh Pant has established himself as one of the leading. Test cricketers of the current era within a space of just three years since he made his debut in the longer format in the summer of 2018.

In Virat Kohli’s absence in the three Tests of the Border-Gavasar Trophy, Pant played a vital role in India staging a memorable comeback to win the prestigious trophy 3-1. Even against England in the Test series on home soil, Pant showed his brilliance with the bat and earned praise from all corners.
Speaking to timesnownews.com, Mills shared his views on the Test series played between India and England earlier this year which was won by Kohli’s men 3-1.
I Don’t Play Four-Day Cricket:
“I only play white-ball cricket, I don’t play four-day cricket due to injuries. In general, I don’t like watching traditional Test cricket but when Rishabh Pant comes to bat in a test match, I am watching. It’s exciting isn’t it, its box office, it makes you want to watch the TV. He played a couple of eye-catching innings which was good to see. I like entertaining cricket. Even that first pitch in Ahmedabad when it was turning square, I liked it because there was something happening every ball. I personally really enjoyed the Test series.”
Mills hasn’t played international cricket since the India series as multiple injuries have kept him out of action.
Mills Future Plans:
Talking about his future plans, Mills will be playing for Southern Brave franchise in The Hundred. He said his looking forward to the tournament which will have several world-class players.
“I have stepped back this winter to try and sort my body out to make sure I am where I want to be. This is a big year for me. We have the T20 Blast with Sussex in June and then The Hundred will be played from July to mid-august. I will be playing for Southern Brave. We have a really good squad. Myself, Jofra Archer, Chris Jordan, Andre Russel, David Warner, James Vince, Marcus Stoinis. We got a really really strong side. I can’t wait for that. It is going to be a big tournament in England. I think cricket is going to be really high level. Those are my two assignments this England summer,” Mills added.
