Rajat Patidar’s 170 not out of 241, which included 14 fours and four sixes, highlighted India A’s dominant batting performance on the third day of the four-day game against New Zealand A at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Rajat Patidar was involved in a century partnership with Abhimanyu Easwaran, which also reached three points, and later stitched an unbroken 167-run partnership with Tilak Verma (82*) as India A on Saturday (September 3) 492/4, 92 onwards.

Patidar had crossed the half-century mark when Easwaran was dismissed and later formed fruitful alliances with Sarfaraz Khan and Tilak. Sarfaraz’s 64-run stand helped India A cross the 300-mark soon after lunch.
India A was nine short of 400 at the time of the tea break and then wiped out the deficit in the final session and took a healthy lead thanks to the Patidar-Tilak combo. Patidar started hitting sixes during his innings of 150 runs in 204 balls.
