Indian team’s star opener Shikhar Dhawan is known for his aggressive batting. On many occasions, he has given victory to Team India. He said- I don’t have any such plan as of now, but if it is written in my destiny then I will definitely go for it. Whichever field I take up, I will give my 100 per cent and I know that success is certain.

Dhawan said- I have been working hard since the age of 11 and there is a similar success mantra in every field. The advantage of playing cricket is that it is a team game and you know when to get out and what moves to make. Till now I have not spoken to anyone about my plans to join politics, but you never know what God wills. If it is God’s will, I will surely achieve it.

Shikhar Dhawan also talked about the selection process in the Indian team. Dhawan said that dropping him from the ODI team and giving a chance to Shubman Gill was a right decision by the selectors, captain and coach. He said that if he had been a selector, he would have done the same. At the same time, Dhawan has not given up hope of making a comeback in the Indian team. He is still hopeful that he can make a comeback and is working hard for the same.

Dhawan was asked that if he was the selector or the captain of the team. For how long would he give himself a chance? In response to this, the former captain said- I think Shubman was already playing in both Test and T20 formats and was doing really well. If I was a selector, I would have also given Shubman a chance. When asked whether he would prefer Shubman over himself? Even on this Dhawan said yes. With this, Shikhar Dhawan wants to be ready for whatever opportunities may come his way. Dhawan said- Even if the opportunity does not come. I will not regret in my heart that I did not prepare myself. I want to do whatever is in my hands.
