This player in very bad form

Team India’s star opening batsman KL Rahul recently returned against Zimbabwe after a long injury. However, his performance was not as expected from him. Rahul was expected to regain his lost form through this series, but his batting in front of Zimbabwe’s weak bowling attack has raised more concerns. In the Asia Cup, KL’s batting in front of big teams like Pakistan and Sri Lanka can also harm the team.

No runs off the bat

KL Rahul’s bat did not get runs during the Zimbabwe tour. In this series, he was the captain in all three ODIs. Rahul did not get batting due to not opening the innings in the first match. Whereas in the next match, he went on scoring just one run. A big innings was expected from him in the last ODI, but he kept going after scoring only 30 runs. In such a situation, Rahul’s form is a matter of great concern for the Indian team before the Asia Cup.

Looking at Rahul’s current form, if the responsibility of opening is taken away from him, then Virat Kohli can be seen opening the innings with Rohit Sharma. Virat has taken this responsibility in the past as well and with Rohit he has performed amazingly. Apart from this, Rishabh Pant can be tried again for this responsibility.
