What was Wriddhiman Saha’s compulsion behind wearing trousers upside down in the field, interesting reason told
Gujarat Titans know the value of experience in T20 format. Wriddhiman Saha, who is known as a Test player, played an amazing inning against Lucknow Super Giants in the 51st match of IPL. He played a stormy inning of 81 runs in 43 balls and showed that he can bat at a strike rate of almost 200 in T20.
Wriddhiman Saha entered the field wearing inverted trousers –
In the second innings, Gujarat Titans first prepared KS Bharath for wicket-keeping, but according to the rules, Wriddhiman Saha was asked to do the keeping. However, Saha was not ready for wicket-keeping in the second innings. He was in the dressing room after batting. In a hurry, he had to enter the field for wicketkeeping.
In this haste, he made a mistake. He came to the ground wearing his trousers upside down. The scene was quite awkward for everyone. Many players including Hardik Pandya started laughing after seeing Saha in inverted trousers. However, after the match, he told how he made this mistake.
After this Wriddhiman Saha said –
“I was having dinner after the first innings and my physio told me that I have to take medicine as well, but then suddenly I came to know that I have to go to the field to keep. Meanwhile, I put on the trouser from the wrong side. However, it is good that after two overs I went back to the dressing room.”
