Will Indian Test players be given rest in IPL 2023? Rohit Sharma reveals preparation for WTC final

The title match of the WTC 2023 will be played between India and Australia. During the last day’s lunch during the Ahmedabad Test between India and Australia, it was decided that the Indian team’s place in the final was confirmed. This is because New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by 2 wickets in a thrilling match and put them out of the race.

Know what Rohit Sharma told –

Indian team captain Rohit Sharma told how his team’s preparation will be for the WTC 2023 finals. Actually, IPL 2023 will start from 31 March and the final match will be played on 28 May. After this only one week will be left for the teams to prepare for the title match.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma informed that Indian players whose IPL teams will not make it to the playoffs will undergo a two-week conditioning camp ahead of the WTC final in London. Cheteshwar Pujara is the only player in the Indian Test team who is not a part of the IPL.

Sharma said – “The WTC final is important for us. Whoever is going to play in the final. We will be in regular touch with them and keep an eye on their workload. By around 21st May, six teams will be almost out of the playoff race. It will be our endeavor that the players who are available reach London as soon as possible and train.”

Rohit Sharma, their workload management is necessary –

The workload of the three key fast bowlers of the Indian team. Mohammed Siraj (RCB), Mohammed Shami (Gujarat Titans) and Umesh Yadav (KKR) will be monitored.

Rohit said – “We will send some Red Dukes balls to the fast bowlers and if they get time to bowl with it, all the better. But it depends on the player.” Be aware that Dukes ball is used in England while SG is used in India and Kookaburra is used in Australia.
