WTC Final, Virat Kohli and Pujara: The countdown to the World Test Championship has begun. From June 7, the Indian team has to face Australia in the title match at The Oval. Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara’s performance in the WTC final from India will be the focus of all eyes.
Kohli’s recent form is going strong, while Pujara has been in county cricket for a long time. However, there will be a competition between Kohli and Pujara to break a big record.
WTC Final 2023: Closest to Pujara Dravid’s record :-
In fact, Rahul Dravid is currently at number three in terms of scoring the most runs in Test cricket against Australia. Dravid scored 2143 runs in 60 innings against the Kangaroos. Pujara is standing closest to breaking this record. Pujara has scored a total of 2033 runs in 43 innings of 24 Tests against Australia. That is, if Pujara manages to score 110 runs in the WTC final, he will leave Dravid behind.
Kohli also has a golden chance :-
On the other hand, Virat Kohli has scored 1979 runs in 42 innings of 24 Test matches against Kangaroo team in Test cricket. 54 runs behind Virat Pujara and 163 runs behind Dravid. In such a situation, if Kohli manages to score 164 runs in the final of the World Test Championship, then he will go ahead of the head coach.
Sachin has scored the most runs :-
Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for scoring the most runs in the longest format of cricket against Australia. Sachin has scored 3,630 runs in 74 innings of 39 matches played against the Kangaroo team. During this, 11 centuries and 16 half-centuries have come out of the master blaster’s bat.
