ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Braydon Carse was included in the England team in place of injured Reece Topley. England has played a big gamble to strengthen the team in the World Cup.

Topley is Out Of The World Cup Due To Recent Finger Injury:-

Fast bowler Brayden Carse has been called up to the squad to compensate for the injured Reece Topley. Topley recently had to miss the World Cup due to a finger injury.

Bowler Reece Topley suffered an injury to the index finger of his bowling hand in the England vs South Africa match on Saturday.

After which he is out of the remaining World Cup. In such a situation, before the match with unbeaten India, England has included Biden Cars.

Archer Has Already Joined The Team As A Reserve:-

The thing to note is that England has given priority to Carrs over Joffra Archer. Archer is already included with the team as a reserve.

But instead of bringing him into the team, the team management has called 28-year-old right-arm fast bowler Brayden Carse.

Carse made his international debut for England in 2021. He has played a total of 12 ODI matches, in which he has taken 14 wickets. Recently, he made his T20 debut while playing against New Zealand in September.

Took 5 Wickets While Playing Against Pakistan:-

Apart from this, he took 5 wickets while playing against Pakistan in July this year. After this, he impressed everyone while playing against the Netherlands and New Zealand.

Current champion England has been able to win only one out of 4 matches in the World Cup 2023, while the team has faced defeat in 3 matches. Englandโ€™s next match will be played against Sri Lanka on 26 October at the Chennaswamy Stadium.
