According to the report of Indian Express, if Gill is not able to recover at the right time, then Team India can include Yashasvi Jaiswal or Rituraj Gaikwad as backup opener.

Both these players had performed brilliantly for Team India in the Asian Games and also won the gold medal. In such a situation, the team can once again entrust him with a big responsibility.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a century against Nepal in the first game of the Asian Games. He has become the first Indian to do so. Whereas Gaikwad had captained brilliantly. He also scored a half-century in the semi-finals.

Gill Discharged From The Hospital:-

Shubman Gill became dengue-positive just before the start of the World Cup. Due to this, he could not even play the match against Australia.

Meanwhile, news had come that on Monday his platelets had suddenly reduced due to which he was admitted to the hospital in Chennai.
