IND vs AUS ODI 2023: Even after the match was over, Ashwin was seen practicing batting late at night. R Ashwin returned to ODI cricket after a long time.

Also Took One Wicket in The Form Of Marenas Labushanya:-

In the first ODI against Australia in Mohali, he gave 47 runs in his 10 overs spell and also took one wicket in the form of Merenus Labushanya.

The hope is not lost yet that Ashwin can be included in the World Cup squad. Although BCCI has announced the team for the World Cup, but changes can also be made till September 28.

Axar Patel’s injury, Ashwin’s hope has been raised that he can also come into the squad. After the end of the first match, Ashwin remained on the ground till late at night and was seen practicing.

After Showing His Rhythm, He Was Seen Taking Batting Practice:-

Ashwin bowled well in the first ODI against Australia, although he got only one wicket but he was economical in the spell of 10 overs.

After showing his rhythm in bowling, he was seen taking batting practice. It is rarely seen that a player practices at the net or on the ground after the match is over.

But Ashwin was seen doing this on Friday night. Ashwin spent a lot of time at the nets and practiced batting.

The Expressed Happiness On Getting A Chance in The ODI Series:-

Ashwin had expressed happiness on getting a chance in the ODI series against Australia. In the video released by BCCI, he said, “This is a big opportunity for me.

I have always said in the last 3-4 years that it is not about what I want to achieve in these opportunities. I just want to enjoy my game.

Want to give myself the best chance. When I left West Indies, I took a break, and played some club games. The management has told me to be ready whenever the opportunity arises.”

The second ODI between India and Australia will be played on Sunday 24 September at Holkar Stadium, Indore.
