ICC ODI WC 2023: New Zealand started the World Cup with a win, Conway and Rachin scored record centuries. In the first match of the World Cup 2023, New Zealand has given a crushing defeat to the defending champion England.

With Record Century Innings Of Devon And Rachin:-

Playing first in this match, England had scored 282 runs in the stipulated 50 overs. In response, New Zealand gave an easy victory to the Kiwi team by 9 wickets with the record century innings of Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra.

The special thing about this match was that the New Zealand team won within 40 overs by losing just one wicket in 36.2 overs.

New Zealand lost its first wicket in the beginning on the score of 10 and Will Young became the victim of Sam Curran without opening the account. After that, Devon Conway scored an unbeaten 152 runs on 121 balls and Rachin Ravindra scored an unbeaten 123 runs on 96 balls and defeated the world champion team.

Conway And Rachin Hit Record Centuries:-

In this match, Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra made an unbeaten partnership of 273 runs. This was also the biggest partnership for New Zealand in the World Cup. Also, both of them scored centuries in their World Cup debut.

Rachin scored a century in 82 balls and Conway scored a century in 83 balls. Both became the fourth and fifth cricketers respectively for New Zealand to score a century in the ODI World Cup debut match.

Rachin Ravindra’s Double Miracle:-

Rachin Ravindra took his first wicket in the World Cup by taking the wicket of Harry Brook in the first bowling. After that, by scoring a century in batting, he also made the record of scoring the fastest century in the World Cup for New Zealand.

Also, this was his first ODI century. In this way, New Zealand also took revenge on England for its defeat in the 2019 World Cup final. The second match of World Cup 2023 will now be played between Pakistan and Netherlands on Friday.
