World Cup 2023, Virat kohli: India is facing Bangladesh in the 17th match of ICC ODI World Cup. Batting first in this match, the Indian team suffered a big blow in the 9th over of the Bangladesh team’s innings.
Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s ankle twisted and he fell on the ground groaning in pain. Seeing him in pain, the physio team was seen applying a bandage. Due to Hardik’s injury, Virat Kohli got the responsibility of completing his over.

Virat Kohli bowled in the World Cup after 8 years :-
Team India’s star batsman King Kohli bowled in the World Cup after eight years. He held the ball in his hand after Hardik got injured in the match being played against Bangladesh. In ODI, Virat last bowled against Sri Lanka at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo in August 2017.
Virat Kohli had bowled one over against Australia in the 2015 World Cup semi-finals in which Kohli had given 7 runs. Apart from this, King Kohli had bowled against Sri Lanka in the final match of the 2011 World Cup and had also bowled against Australia in the quarter-finals in the year 2011 itself.
Overall, Kohli has taken eight wickets in 161.5 overs bowled in international cricket across all formats.
Hardik Pandya got injured during IND vs BAN match :-
Hardik Pandya has now gone to the hospital for a scan after getting injured in the 9th over of Bangladesh’s innings. It is expected that he will return after becoming fully fit.
