Virat Kohli completed his 48th ODI century by hitting a match-winning six against Bangladesh in Pune. In the company of KL Rahul, the pair decided not to take a few singles so that Kohli could complete his century. Virat is now just one century away from equaling Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 centuries in ODIs.
KL Rahul’s ‘Master Plan’ :-
After India won over Bangladesh with 51 balls to spare, KL Rahul revealed on Star Sports that it was his idea not to take singles so that Kohli could keep the strike to himself and increase his chances of scoring a century.
Rahul further said, “Kohli was confused, he said that not taking a single would not look very good, it is the World Cup, and it is a big stage. ‘I don’t want to look like I am just trying to get that milestone. of,’ .

You should also know that when Kohli was nearing his century, the pair rejected about five chances of single runs.
“I wanted to make a big contribution,” Kohli said after the match after scoring an unbeaten 103 off 97 balls. “I’ve scored a few fifties in the World Cup, and I’ve never really converted them, so I wanted to convert that chance this time and finish the match.
