Whereas, the rest of the players were seen enjoying the beautiful valleys of Dharamshala.
Indian team reached Dharamshala without Hardik Pandya :-
The Indian team has reached Dharamshala without Hardik Pandya. He was injured in the match against Bangladesh. Hardik returned after bowling just three balls. Scans revealed an ankle injury and he has been sent to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru to regain fitness. In Hardik’s absence, changes are certain to take place in Team India.
Demand to give chance to Mohammed Shami in place of Shardul Thakur :-
Many veterans say that Mohammed Shami should be given a chance in place of Shardul Thakur in the match against New Zealand. At the same time, Suryakumar Yadav should get a chance in place of injured Hardik. Both India and New Zealand have won their first four matches in the World Cup 2023.
Only these two teams have not lost any match so far. In such a situation, the match to be held in Dharamshala will be very exciting. In this match, India would also like to avenge the defeat suffered by New Zealand in the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup. New Zealand defeated India in the semi-finals of the 2019 ODI World Cup and were eliminated from the tournament. The Indian team was in a good position in this match, but after Dhoni was run out, India’s defeat was certain.
Apart from this, New Zealand also defeated India in the final of the 2021 World Test Championship. India would like to avenge both these defeats in this match.
