The pair of Rachin Ravindra and Darryl Mitchell have shattered a 44-year-old record in the 50-over World Cup. Rachin and Darryl have made the record of making the biggest partnership for any wicket for New Zealand while playing against India in the World Cup.
Both the batsmen of Kiwi team made a partnership of 159 runs for the third wicket. Before Ravindra-Mitchell, the record of the biggest partnership by New Zealand against Team India was in the name of John Wright and Bruce Agar, who had made a partnership of 100 runs for the first wicket in the year 1979.

Ravindra took full advantage of the life he got in the 11th over of the innings. Rachin batted brilliantly and played a strong inning of 75 runs in 87 balls. During this inning, the Kiwi batsman hit 6 fours and one six.
