Ticket Sales For World Cup Matches Are Going Live:-
The sale of tickets for World Cup matches in India is going live. Ticket sales have been launched in a phased manner to avoid heavy traffic on the official ticketing partner BookMyShow app and website.

Early ticket sales for India matches went live for Mastercard users on Wednesday, 29 August.
Tickets for India’s World Cup matches went live on sale on the BookMyShow website on August 29 at 6 PM. With all the focus being on the India vs Pakistan match, many fans were left empty-handed as tickets sold out within minutes.
Fans were turning away empty-handed after being asking to wait in an online queue for over 6 hours.
This Form Was Trolling Fiercely On Social Media:-
After this, fans on BookMyShow went berserk and trolled this form on social media.
Fans grew increasingly frustrated and criticized the BCCI and ticketing partner Bookmyshow alike.
A fan went to the extent of taking the ticketing partner to court by sharing a video of his 5-6 unsuccessful attempts to book tickets.
Only a lucky few could get early tickets for India’s matches especially the India-Pakistan clash to be played in Ahmedabad on October 14.
Those who did not get it will have another chance to book. The remaining tickets will be sold in another set of phases.
How and when you can do ticket-booking for the next steps:–
- August 30 at 8 PM IST: India’s matches in Guwahati and Trivandrum (vs England on September 30, vs Netherlands on October 3)
- August 31 from 8 PM IST: India’s matches in Chennai, Delhi and Pune (vs Australia on October 8, Afghanistan on October 11 and Bangladesh on October 19)
- September 1 from 8 PM IST: India’s matches in Dharamsala. Lucknow and Mumbai (against New Zealand on October 22, against England on October 29 and against Sri Lanka on November 2)
- September 2 at 8 PM IST: India’s matches in Bengaluru and Kolkata (vs Netherlands on October 12 and South Africa on November 5).
