IND vs SA: Fraud regarding match tickets
It is noteworthy that this is not the first time that illegal activity regarding the sale of World Cup tickets has come to light. Earlier, a man in Ahmedabad was arrested for defrauding a cricket fan of ₹2.68 lakh on the promise of multiple tickets for the IND vs PAK clash on October 14.
The accused, named Jai Shah, introduced himself as an agent of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) and assured the victim of getting 41 tickets for the India vs Pakistan match.
However, even after paying more than Rs 1.5 lakh for match tickets, the complainant did not receive any ticket.
