ODI World Cup

IND vs SL: India reached semi-finals with 7th consecutive win, many unique records made in the match

IND vs SL: Thanks to the brilliant bowling of Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah, India bowled out Sri Lanka for 55 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. With this victory, India has registered its seventh consecutive win in the World Cup 2023 and secured its place in the semi-finals.

Fourth lowest score in World Cup history :-

Sri Lanka’s score of 55 is the fourth lowest score in all World Cup games and the lowest ever score by a Full Member nation. Earlier, the record for the lowest score by a Full Member nation was in the name of Bangladesh which was bundled out for 58 runs against West Indies in 2011.

Also, this is the fourth time that a team has lost a match by a margin of 300+ runs and the surprising thing is that all these four matches have been played in 2023.
