Because of this, he could not play in the ODI series against India this week. According to media reports, Ashton Agar had suffered a calf injury. After which it was expected that he would be completely fit before the World Cup 2023. However, now it is coming to light that he is out of this entire mega-tournament.

Labuschagne, who was brought back for the ODIs in South Africa, scored 283 runs at an average of 70.75 in five matches and added 138 runs at an average of 46 in three matches in India.

He said, “Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell are making good progress through the rehabilitation of their respective injuries and it was pleasing to see them return to the playing eleven last night.”
