Starc destroyed the entire top order of Netherlands with his sensational bowling. Starc dismissed Max O’Dowd, Wesley Baresi and Bas De Leede in three brilliant balls. The left-arm fast bowler relied on his swing to dismantle the Netherlands’ top order as they defended 167 runs in 23 overs. He trapped O’Dowd with an inswinger in front of the wicket, Baresi was out trying to defend and then De Leede was out to a yorker.

Starc has taken 49 wickets in the World Cup and will complete the special record of 50 wickets as soon as he takes the first wicket in this World Cup. He has taken 49 wickets in 18 matches. His average is 14.82, which is even better than Glenn McGrath.
McGrath is the highest wicket taker in the ODI World Cup. Starc is also performing brilliantly on Indian pitches and made an important contribution in Australia winning the ODI series in March. In this series, India lost 2-1 to Steve Smith’s team.
