In the 23rd match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, South Africa teamโ€™s wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock created history by scoring a century. By scoring a century against Bangladesh, he has become the top scorer of ODI World Cup 2023.

During this, Quinton De Kock left Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli behind. Let us tell you that by scoring his century, De Kock has also broken a record of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

SA vs BAN: Quinton De Kock became the first African player to do so :-

South African wicketkeeper batsman Quinton De Kock made a special record by scoring a century. He has become the first South African player to score 3 centuries in a World Cup season.

Before him, this record was held in the name of former South African captain AB De Villiers, who had scored 2 centuries in the year 2011.

De Kock also scored his 20th century in ODIs and he achieved this feat in just 150 innings. Quinton became the fourth batsman to score the fastest century in ODI innings. He left behind the great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in this matter. Sachin had played 197 matches to score 20 ODI centuries. In this matter, he also defeated Rohit Sharma, who had scored 20 ODI centuries in 183 innings.
