ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Delhi Metro will run till late at night on the day of the WC 2023 cricket match. In view of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 matches to be played in Delhi, Delhi Metro (DMRC) has increased the timing of its last train by about 30 minutes.

The Five Matches Will Be Played At Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi:-

Five matches of the World Cup will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Delhi Gate metro station is near the stadium. Metro officials on Friday said that the service of trains on all lines will be increased by half an hour to enable the patrons to easily reach their destinations.

“During the Cricket World Cup 2023 matches (day-night) to be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium (Feroze Shah Kotla Ground), New Delhi on 7, 11, 15, 25 October and 6 November 2023,” DMRC said in a statement. To facilitate the movement of visitors, Metro has made minor changes in the timing of its last train on all lines (except the Airport Express Line).

According to the statement, “In view of the possibility of sudden increase in crowd at nearby metro stations after the end of the match, Delhi Metro has extended the timing of its last train by about 30 minutes on all lines to accommodate additional train journeys (about 24).” Will do. With this, visitors will be able to easily reach their destination using the metro.

DMRC says that due to changes in the operating timings of the metro, the metro will make 24 additional trips. So that the spectators do not face any problem in returning after the match is over. Also, additional staff will be deployed at Delhi Gate Metro Station on the day of the match.

Red and Yellow Line passengers can reach Delhi Gate station on Violet Line by changing the metro at Kashmere Gate Interchange station. Blue Line passengers can change metro at Mandi House, Pink Line passengers at Lajpat Nagar, and Magenta Line passengers can reach Delhi Gate directly by changing metro at Kalkaji station.
