‘This Century Came Because Of Sachin Tendulkar’ Said Ibrahim After Scoring A Historic Century

Afghanistan batsman Ibrahim Zadran has become the first batsman to score a World Cup century on behalf of his team. He has given the credit of this century to the Indian player Sachin Tendulkar, who is called the God of Cricket.

I Wanted To Play Like Sachin- Ibrahim:-

After scoring the historic century, Ibrahim Zadran remembered the moment when Sachin Tendulkar reached Wankhede Stadium during the training session of Afghan players. Ibrahim has also given credit to Sachin Tendulkar for scoring a century.

He said that when Sachin had come, I had a long conversation with Sachin. He was explaining a lot to me and sharing his experiences. Even before going on the field, I had decided that I have to play like Sachin Tendulkar.

‘I Worked Hard For This Tournament’:-

Ibrahim further said that I felt very good after scoring the first century for Afghanistan. And I have worked really hard for this tournament. I had missed scoring a century against Pakistan but scored a century yesterday.

I was talking to my coaching staff and I told them that I think I will score a century in the next three matches. Ibrahim has played an unbeaten inning of 129 runs against Australia.

Thanks to this inning, Afghanistan had set a good score in front of Australia, however, Glenn Maxwell single-handedly put the match in Australia’s bag by scoring a double century and ruined Ibrahim’s historic innings.
