Virat Kohli ready to join the team soon, will fly to Chennai with his teammates

Virat Kohli will soon rejoin the Indian team, which is currently in Thiruvananthapuram. He will take a flight from Mumbai late night and then go to Chennai from Thiruvananthapuram with the entire entourage on Wednesday.

According to BCCI sources this was the case :-

According to BCCI sources, Virat Kohli had sought permission from the board and team management to attend a personal matter in Mumbai. “He will join us late in the evening and will travel with the team to Chennai tomorrow,” an Indian team spokesperson said on Tuesday evening.

If this had happened, Kohli would not have been able to play the second practice match against Netherlands at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. However, the match had to be canceled due to bad weather.

As reported by Cricbuzz over the past few days, Kohli left the team and flew from Guwahati to Mumbai, where India were to play their first practice match against England. Unfortunately, that game was also abandoned due to rain.

It has been revealed from some sources that Kohli has an important association with ICC. He will attend the event before flying to Chennai, where India will play its first match against Australia on October 8.

The traditional photo-up of the captains ahead of the World Cup will take place in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. All the captains are expected to reach the city by tonight. The World Cup will begin on Thursday, October 5 in Ahmedabad.

The Indian cricket team uploaded a reel from its pre-World Cup 2023 shoot on Monday. In this clip, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav; Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Ravichandran Ashwin; Shardul Thakur and Ishan Kishan were all seen posing in front of the 360 degree rotating camera.
