Mumbai Witnesses Team India’s Departure, Chasing World Cup Glory!
Fueled by the dream of lifting the T20 World Cup trophy, the Indian team departed on Saturday, May 25th. The BCCI shared the news of the team’s departure for this much-anticipated tournament.

A video shows Captain Rohit Sharma, coach Rahul Dravid, and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja stepping off the team bus at the Mumbai airport.
The team then took off, ready to battle it out for the coveted title. The ICC T20 World Cup kicks off on June 1st and runs until June 29th.
Who’s Flying Alongside Rohit Sharma?
Pictures shared by the BCCI from the airport reveal some of the players joining forces with Captain Rohit Sharma. Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, and Jasprit Bumrah are seen alongside him. Another picture shows Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj, and Axar Patel together.
Team India’s Schedule
India has been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Canada, Ireland, and the USA. The Indian team will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 5th.
Their second match will be a highly anticipated clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on June 9th. Team India is then scheduled to play the host nation, USA, on the 12th. Finally, they’ll face Canada on June 15th.
