Well, cricket fans, here’s some good news! Shami, who’s been sidelined for months due to injury, is on the road to recovery and might be back on the field sooner than later.

Today, April 30th, Shami shared some pics on social media where he’s seen walking around the practice nets with crutches. These pics have gone viral, with fans showering him with wishes for a speedy recovery.

He Suffered An Achilles Tendon Injury:-

The last time Shami played ODI cricket was against New Zealand back in February 2023. Then, in April 2023, during the IPL, he suffered an Achilles tendon injury that forced him to miss the entire season.

After recovering from the initial injury, Shami began training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) hoping to rejoin the national team. Unfortunately, he was left out of the Test series against England in June 2023 because his injury wasn’t fully healed.

India’s Home Series Against Bangladesh in September 2024

The good news is, BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed that Shami is expected to make his comeback during India’s home series against Bangladesh in September 2024!

It’ll be interesting to see how Shami performs upon his return. He’s a crucial player for the Indian team, and his comeback will definitely strengthen the squad.
