This match between Pakistan and America will be played at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. But before this match, Pakistan’s star all-rounder Imad Wasim has been injured.

Pakistan was already going through a bad form, so the exclusion of Imad Wasim can prove to be a big problem for them.

Captain Babar Informed About Wasim’s Injury

Before the T20 World Cup, Pakistan played a T20 series against England, in which they had to face a crushing defeat. Captain Babar Azam informed about Imad Wasim’s injury.

Babar Azam said, “Imad has a side strain problem. Unfortunately this means that he will not be present for our opening match. Imad will not be able to play in the first match, but we hope that he will join the team in the remaining matches.”

Imad Wasim Had Withdrawn His International Retirement

It is worth noting that before the T20 World Cup 2024, Imad Wasim had withdrawn his international retirement. Along with Imad Wasim, fast bowler Mohammad Aamir also came out of international retirement.

After withdrawing his retirement, Imad was made a part of the Pakistan team for the T20 series played against New Zealand, Ireland and England.

Imad had returned from retirement mainly for the T20 World Cup. But now he will not be able to play the first match of the tournament. Now it will be interesting to see when he returns.
