T20 WC Asia Qualifier 2024: Nepal qualifies for the T20 World Cup 2024. Nepal has qualified for the T20 World Cup in 2024.

By defeating UAE by 8 wickets in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier played at Mulpani Cricket Ground on Friday (3 November), Nepal confirmed its place in the T20 World Cup to be played in America and West Indies next year.

Nepal Defeated UAE And Made A Place in T20 World Cup 2024:-

Captain Mohammad Wasim (26 runs in 16 balls) gave the UAE team a stormy start after winning the toss, but due to the early fall of two wickets, the team came on the back foot.

Although Vriti Arvind held one wicket firmly, wickets kept falling from the other end, and UAE batsmen were seen struggling on the Mulpani pitch which was helpful for spinners.

Malla Took 3 Wickets in 3 Overs For Nepal:-

Kushal Malla took 3 wickets in 3 overs for Nepal while Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs.

With the help of Arvind’s inning of 64 runs in 51 balls studded with 8 fours and 2 sixes, UAE scored 134 runs in 20 overs.

In response, despite losing the wicket of opener Kushal Bhrutel (11) cheaply, Nepal made a steady start and Asif Shaikh (64) along with Gulshan Jha (22) took over the innings, adding 41 runs for the second wicket.

Undefeated Partnership Of 68 Runs For The Third Wicket With Paudel:-

Asif Sheikh along with captain Rohit Paudel made an undefeated partnership of 68 runs for the third wicket and led Nepal to victory.

Sheikh played a brilliant unbeaten inning of 64 runs in 51 balls with the help of 7 fours and 1 six, while captain Rohit Paudel played a quick inning of 33 runs in 20 runs with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes, helping Nepal win the match with 17 balls remaining. Gave a memorable victory by 8 wickets.

With this victory, Nepal has qualified for the T20 World Cup after 10 years, before which Nepal last played the T20 World Cup in 2014.
