Arjun Tendulkar – Bought by Mumbai Indians IPL 2021 auction

Arjun Tendulkar was born on 24 September 1999. He is an Indian cricketer and son of Sachin Tendulkar. Arjun is a left-handed fast bowler and left-handed batsman. He made his Twenty-20 debut on 15 January 2021 for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Haryana. He took one wicket for 34 runs from three overs.

He is a popular young cricketer, who was bought by Mumbai Indians for 20 lakh, franchisee during IPL 2021 auction.

He has less chance of making it into playing 11 but Mumbai Indians might give him a chance to play him 2021 IPL.

The left-arm pacemen joined the likes of former India leg-spinner Piyush Chawla and batsman Sourabh Tiwary for the MI training Camp.

Chawla who was bought for Rs. 2.4 crore during the IPL 2021 auctions.

Sourabh Tiwary also arrived in training camp, many of the players are not here but most of the players who are here look fit and ready.

Arjun Tendulkar was seen bowling in the nets to the likes of Australian opener Chris Lynn who is one of the overseas Mumbai Indians already in the country.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene on Wednesday (March 24)  has arrived in Mumbai ahead of the upcoming edition of the IPL. Taking to Twitter, Mumbai Indians wrote, “Our Mastermind has checked in. Great to have you back.

A few members of the Delhi Capitals’ squad, including pacers Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav, leg-spinner Amit Mishra and all-rounder Lalit Yadav assembled at the team hotel in Mumbai.

The players arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday and they will now undergo quarantine until March 30. 

Zaheer khan told ANI –

”I have spent a lot of time in the nets, trying to teach him some tricks of the trade, he is a hardworking kid, he is keen on learning, it is an exciting part.

The added pressure of being Sachin Tendulkar’s son will always be on him, it is something he needs to live with, the environment of the team will help him.

It will help him become a good cricketer, how many times a youngster gets picked in the auction and everyone is talking about him, he has to prove himself and he has to show everyone he has the goods,”
