Former Nepal cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane, accused of sexual harassment, has said that he will return to his country soon.

While the Nepal Police has started the process of issuing an Interpol warrant for his arrest.

For the second time since the case of sexual harassment by a minor was registered, the former national cricketer has spoken of returning to Nepal at an appropriate time on Facebook.

Further, Lamichhane claimed that there were false allegations of rape against him. Sandeep Lamichhane further wrote, “I came to know about the complaint filed against me and the false allegation of rape.

It has not only affected my mental and physical health. So I have decided to keep myself in isolation for some time.

A Warrant issued in his name had mentally disturbed him:-

I have been brought back to normalcy with the advice of doctors. And my health is slowly improving I am planning to return to Nepal as soon as possible. The complaint made against me is false.”

Significantly, a 17-year-old minor accused Sandeep of sexually assaulting her on August 21. Taking her to several places in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur throughout the day. And then sexually assaulting her the same night in a hotel. Since then, he has been removed from the captaincy team of the Nepal cricket team.
