The BCCI Forms Three-Member Cricket Advisory Committee To Choose New Selection Panel

BCCI Cricket Advisory Committee: BCCI formed a three-member Cricket Advisory Committee to choose the new selection panel. Which includes Sulakshana Nayak.

Three-Member Cricket Advisory Committee:-

Former Indian players and national selectors Ashok Malhotra and Jatin Pranjape will join the BCCI’s three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (BCCI CAC).

This new CAC will be entrusted with the responsibility of choosing the new selection panel (BCCI Selection Committee) later this month.

Malhotra will replace former Indian pacer Madan Lal in the CAC and Paranjpe has been inducted in place of Rudra Pratap Singh.

The BCCI Secretary Jai Shah gave the release:-

Rudra Pratap Singh has joined Mumbai Indians as a ‘talent scout’. Only former women cricketer Nayak is from the previous committee.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said in the release, “Malhotra has represented India in seven Tests and 20 ODIs and was recently the President of the Association of Indian Cricketers. Paranjpe has played four ODIs for India and was part of the senior men’s selection committee.

The BCCI sacked the chairmanship of Chetan Sharma:-

In November, the BCCI sacked the entire selection panel headed by Chetan Sharma, with other members Harvinder Singh, Sunil Joshi, and Debashish Mohanty.

Despite being thus dropped after India’s semi-final exit from the T20 World Cup, Chetan along with Harvinder applied again for the post.

Joshi and Mohanty, however, did not apply. Those who filed applications included 1. Nayan Mongia, 2. Venkatesh Prasad, 3. Maninder Singh, 4. Shiv Sunder Das, 5. Subroto Banerjee, 6. Salil Ankola, 7. Amay Khursiya, 8. Ritinder Singh Sodhi, 9. Nikhil Chopra, and 10. Atul Wasan.
