India trainer Nick Webb resigns
Team India trainer Nick Webb resigns. The New Zealander has said that he will not be a part of the Indian team after the upcoming T20 WC. He was employing in this position in 2019.
The BCCI and trainer confirmed :-
This has been approved by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as well as the trainer himself. Webb wrote in a social media post, “I have recently informed the BCCI that I will not be seeking an extension of consent after the Twenty20 World Cup.” A BCCI official separately told Cricbuzz that the New Zealand player has done justice to his departure.
Nick Webb’s exit comes in line with the inevitable changes in support for the Indian team’s staff after the World Cup. Already, head coach Ravi Shastri has announced that the ICC event from Oct. 17 to November 14 will be his last assignment. The Indian team and is expected to be accompanied by most other coaches including bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar.

Confirming the BCCI official, the new head coach will have full freedom to keep his support staff.
Webb also confirmed to Cricbuzz that their determination to move forward stemmed from difficulties entering and exiting New Zealand due to restrictions imposed following the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. “It hasn’t been an easy outcome.
The current COVID restrictions are the primary reason for New Zealand citizens to enter the country. While these restrictions may ease in the future.
It is erratic moving away from my family with a possible 5-8 month stint at a time making it untenable for me ahead of the T20 World Cup,” he wrote.
Webb gave the final homage to India captain Virat Kohli and coach Shastri, saying they strive to advance and set high professional standards.
He told Cricbuzz :-
“They are both great leaders in their own right. They both strive for excellence, have high expectations from all of us, and leave nothing to chance. I have learned a lot from both of them and it has been a pleasure working with them. have enjoyed.” Adding, “If there were no Covid restrictions, I would not have taken this decision.”
In his post, Nick Webb further wrote, “I am not sure what the future holds for me at the moment. One is I am sure that I will do everything it takes to direct the men of my Indian cricket team.” I will do what I can. Big opportunity in T20 World Cup. We are ready to win it (sic).”
He described his two years with the team as a privilege and explained what makes this side special. “For the last 2+ years, I have had the privilege and honor to represent India and the Indian cricket team. We have achieved and thrived as a team during this period.

He was picked by the MSK Prasad-led selection committee before the likes of Luke Woodhouse and Rajinikanth Sivaganam in September 2019. “We thought he would mingle well with the Indian players.
His knowledge, experience, and the former chief selector said, “Age achieved it for him. In his early 30s, we thought he would be a long-term prospect for the Indian team. It is said that he had to face the Covid condition. Because I have to leave early.“
