IPL 2023: Both the captains were fined lakhs. Nitish was abused and Suryakumar made this mistake. Mumbai won this match by five wickets.

The team fined Rs 12 lakh for slow overrate:-

Mumbai Indians captain Suryakumar Yadav was fined Rs 12 lakh for the team’s slow over-rate during their IPL match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

Captain Suryakumar was fined Rs 12 lakh as it was his team’s first offense of the season under the IPL’s code of conduct relating to minimum over-rate.

KKR captain Nitish Rana also fined:-

KKR captain Nitish Rana was fined 25 percent of his match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the match.

Rana admitted a ‘Level 1’ offense under Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct.

Mumbai Indians bowler Hrithik Shokeen was fined 10 percent for breaching the league’s code of conduct.

The rivalry between the two players of Indian domestic cricket was witnessed in this match as well. A heated argument took place between Rana Shokeen.

The incident took place in the ninth over of KKR’s innings when Shaukeen said something to Rana after getting him out.

Team’s most senior Player Piyush Chawla:-

Rana then turned around and said something while moving towards Shokeen. Mumbai Indians’ stand-in captain Suryakumar Yadav and senior-most player Piyush Chawla, however, intervened to calm the matter.

Shokeen admitted a ‘Level 1’ offense under Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct.
