Angelo Mathews is preparing to return to SL. Mathews could be in line to return to Sri Lanka after making himself accessible for re-selection. However, there has been no official communication from Sri Lanka Cricket or Angelo in this regard.

The Board will take a final decision :-

ESPNcricinfo understands that Angelo Mathews mailed SLC about his intentions. And the board will take a final decision on the matter at a meeting on Tuesday.

Mathews had earlier this year described himself as ineligible for selection, saying that the treatment meted out to him and other seniors during the months-long consent standoff had made him focus.

Angelo Mathews was preparing to take a pay cut in the range of USD 50,000 (approximately 99,50,000 LKR), subject to central contracts offered by the board.
