IND vs ENG, 3rd Test: Deadly off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, known as the backbone of the Indian spin attack, has withdrawn his name from the ongoing third Test match between England and India in Rajkot due to ‘Family Medical Emergency’. BCCI said in the media release about Ravichandran Ashwin :-

BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla wrote on X about Ravichandran Ashwin :-

Talking about the match, there are still three days of play left in the third Test and due to the absence of Ashwin, now the Indian team will have to proceed with the match with only ten players.

England in a strong position till the end of the second day’s play :-

Also, by the end of the second day’s play, England had scored 207 runs after losing 2 wickets, in which the biggest contribution was from centurion Ben Duckett, who has so far scored 133 runs in 118 balls with the help of 22 fours and 2 sixes.

Apart from this, we got to see two centuries in the first innings also. In this, Rohit Sharma scored 131 runs while Ravindra Jadeja played an inning of 112 runs.

Talking about bowling, England’s Mark Wood took maximum 4 wickets in India’s first innings.
