In a career of 15 years for Odisha, Basant Mohanty won them many matches on his own. Played a total of 105 first class matches in 15 years. Basant took 403 wickets during this period. He managed to do the feat of taking 10 wickets in the match three times. At the same time, he took five wickets in an innings 23 times. Apart from this, he has taken 43 wickets in 31 List-A matches and 20 wickets in 21 T20 matches.
